Privacy Policy
Effective 2026-04-29
This privacy policy applies to the Unfed app (the "Application") for mobile devices, created by Adam O Lourhmati (the "Service Provider"). The service is intended for use "AS IS".
Information Collection and Use
The Application collects information when you download and use it. This information may include:
- Your device's Internet Protocol address (e.g. IP address)
- The pages of the Application that you visit, the time and date of your visit, the time spent on those pages
- The time spent on the Application
- The operating system you use on your mobile device
The Application does not gather precise information about the location of your mobile device.
The Application does not use Artificial Intelligence (AI) technologies to process your data or provide features.
The Service Provider may use the information you provide to send important notices about the Application or your subscription. We do not send marketing emails.
For a better experience, while using the Application, the Service Provider may require you to provide us with certain personally identifiable information, including but not limited to Health Information (e.g. weight, fasting times), Email/Identifiers, and Default Account Information. The information requested will be retained and used as described in this privacy policy.
Subscription Information
The Application offers in-app subscriptions that auto-renew. By subscribing, you agree to the following:
- Subscriptions automatically renew unless auto-renew is turned off at least 24 hours before the end of the current period.
- Your account will be charged for renewal within 24 hours prior to the end of the current period.
- You can manage and cancel your subscription at any time by going to your App Store or Google Play account settings after purchase.
- Any unused portion of a free trial period will be forfeited when you purchase a subscription.
Subscription processing is handled by Apple (App Store) and Google (Google Play). Subscription state is managed via RevenueCat using an anonymous device identifier — we do not store your payment details on our servers.
Refund Policy
All refund requests are handled directly by Apple App Store or Google Play in accordance with their respective policies. The Service Provider cannot issue refunds directly. To request a refund:
- iOS: use Apple's Report a Problem page.
- Android: visit the Google Play refund process.
Health Disclaimer
Unfed is not a medical device. The information and tools provided in the Application are for general wellness purposes only and are not intended as medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment.
Always consult a qualified healthcare professional before starting any fasting regimen — especially if you are pregnant, breastfeeding, diabetic, taking medication, have a history of eating disorders, or are under 18.
Third Party Access
Only aggregated, anonymized data is periodically transmitted to external services to help the Service Provider improve the Application. The Service Provider may share information with third parties as described below.
The Application uses third-party services that have their own privacy policies regarding data handling:
- Google Play Services — Android billing and Google Sign-In (used for optional Google Drive backup).
- RevenueCat — subscription management. Receives anonymous device identifier and subscription receipts.
- Apple App Store — iOS billing and subscription processing.
The Service Provider may disclose User Provided and Automatically Collected Information:
- as required by law, such as to comply with a subpoena, or similar legal process;
- when they believe in good faith that disclosure is necessary to protect their rights, protect your safety or the safety of others, investigate fraud, or respond to a government request;
- with their trusted service providers who work on their behalf, do not have an independent use of the information we disclose to them, and have agreed to adhere to the rules set forth in this privacy statement.
International Data Transfers
The Application is designed as a local-first product — most of your data stays on your device. However, third-party services we rely on (RevenueCat, Apple, Google) operate servers in the United States and other countries. By using the Application, you understand that your subscription metadata and anonymous device identifier may be processed in countries outside your country of residence, including the United States. These countries may have data protection laws that differ from those in your jurisdiction.
For users in the European Economic Area (EEA), United Kingdom, or Switzerland: international data transfers from these regions to the United States are made under the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework, Standard Contractual Clauses, or equivalent safeguards adopted by our service providers.
Opt-Out Rights
You can stop all collection of information by the Application easily by uninstalling it. You may use the standard uninstall processes as may be available as part of your mobile device or via the mobile application marketplace.
Data Retention Policy
Most data the Application collects lives only on your device. We retain it for as long as you use the Application.
For data processed by our third-party service providers:
- RevenueCat retains anonymous subscription records for as long as your subscription is active and up to 7 years thereafter for tax and accounting compliance.
- Apple App Store / Google Play retain transaction records per their respective policies (typically 7 years for tax purposes).
If you'd like the Service Provider to delete data we have processed, please contact us at unfed.app@gmail.com. We will respond and complete deletion within 30 days of receiving your verified request, except where retention is required by law.
The Application also offers an in-app "Reset everything" action that wipes all locally stored data, including any auto-backup file, immediately on the device.
Your Rights (GDPR — European Users)
If you are located in the European Economic Area (EEA), United Kingdom, or Switzerland, you have the following rights under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and equivalent local laws:
- Right to access — request a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
- Right to rectification — request correction of inaccurate or incomplete data.
- Right to erasure ("right to be forgotten") — request deletion of your personal data.
- Right to restrict processing — request that we limit how we use your data.
- Right to data portability — receive your data in a structured, machine-readable format. The Application provides this natively via the in-app "Export backup" feature, which produces a complete JSON copy of your data.
- Right to object — object to processing of your data based on legitimate interests.
- Right to withdraw consent — where processing is based on consent, withdraw it at any time.
- Right to lodge a complaint — file a complaint with your local data protection supervisory authority. A list of EU authorities is available at edpb.europa.eu.
Our legal basis for processing your data is your consent (granted when you install and use the Application) and the necessity to provide the service you have requested (contractual necessity for subscription processing).
To exercise any of these rights, contact us at unfed.app@gmail.com. We will respond within 30 days.
California Privacy Rights (CCPA / CPRA)
If you are a California resident, you have specific rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) as amended by the California Privacy Rights Act (CPRA):
- Right to know what personal information we collect, use, and disclose about you.
- Right to delete personal information we have collected from you.
- Right to correct inaccurate personal information.
- Right to opt-out of the sale or sharing of your personal information.
- Right to limit use of sensitive personal information.
- Right to non-discrimination for exercising your CCPA rights.
We do not sell your personal information. We do not share your personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising. We have not done so in the preceding 12 months and have no plans to do so.
To exercise your California rights, contact us at unfed.app@gmail.com. We will verify your identity (typically by confirming the email address associated with your subscription) before responding within 45 days.
Children
The Service Provider does not use the Application to knowingly solicit data from or market to children under the age of 13.
The Application does not address anyone under the age of 13. The Service Provider does not knowingly collect personally identifiable information from children under 13 years of age. If we discover that a child under 13 has provided personal information, we will immediately delete it. If you are a parent or guardian and are aware that your child has provided us with personal information, please contact us at unfed.app@gmail.com so that we can take the necessary actions.
Security
The Service Provider is concerned about safeguarding the confidentiality of your information. We provide physical, electronic, and procedural safeguards to protect information we process and maintain. The Application stores most user data locally on your device — it is not transmitted to our servers unless you explicitly enable cloud backup.
Changes
This Privacy Policy may be updated from time to time for any reason. The Service Provider will notify you of any changes by updating this page with the new Privacy Policy. You are advised to consult this Privacy Policy regularly for any changes — continued use is deemed approval of all changes.
